A letter transcending life and afterlife
An immersive theatre production adapted from the novel "Hell Post Office,"
Every citizen of Hong Kong can enjoy a meaningful free postal service from Hongkong Post once in their lifetime by sending a letter and attached parcel to their deceased loved ones who exist in the realm of life and afterlife.
This is the first part of the story, where postman Nan Men-lang will lead the audience between the realms of yin and yang through three intertwined stories. With headphones on, you will walk along the path and listen to three instances of entanglement and regret, or perhaps hope and love—a journey shared by the living and the deceased.
Westwingmoon x Yan Pat-to, one is a popular digital novel writer working in the funeral industry, the other is an experienced theatre director known for designing emotionally nuanced experiences in Hong Kong and Germany. This is their first collaboration, and Yan Pat-to will adapt parts of the original novel into a theatrical production, allowing the unseen elements such as souls, life and death, attachment, impermanence, and longing to coexist with you, just like the postman in the story.
